ISLAMABAD: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Police Islamabad achieved several important successes in the year 2024, the details of which were also shared.
As per spokesperson for Islamabad shared details about the performance of CTD Islamabad in 2024, stating that CTD Islamabad conducted 141 search operations across the district this year.
According to the spokesperson, 9,378 houses, 12,427 suspicious persons, and 4,966 suspicious motorcycles were checked during the search operations.
He added that 201 motorcycles and 17 vehicles without documents were impounded at police stations during the search operations. Additionally, 219 weapons of various bores, 1,593 rounds, and 139 magazines were recovered during these operations.
The spokesperson further noted that 202 bottles of alcohol, 3 kg 865 grams of heroin, 3,200 grams of hashish, and 710 grams of ice were seized during the search operations.

According to the spokesperson, 52 intelligence-based operations were conducted in 2024 in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, resulting in the arrest of 46 suspects.
During these intelligence-based operations, 1,480 grams of explosive powder, 10 detonators, 11 feet of safety fuse wire, 2 prima cards, 8 grenades, and a mine were recovered.
One IED, 5 pistols, 1 Kalashnikov, and other materials used in explosions were also seized during the operations.
CTD Islamabad deported 92 foreigners who were staying illegally and compiled a record of more than 12,400 Afghans living in Islamabad.
