PESHAWAR: Winter vacation for all schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been extended.
According to media report, the Department of Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a notification regarding the extension of winter holidays.
The notification states that all schools in the province will remain closed until January 6, 2025. Earlier, the provincial education department had announced winter vacations until December 31.
The announcement had stated that winter vacations in the plains of the province would be from December 23 to December 31, while in the hilly areas, the holidays would last from December 23, 2024 until February 28, 2025.
It should be noted that winter vacations have also been announced in educational institutions of Balochistan.
As per the notification issued by the Balochistan Education Department, educational institutions in cold areas of the province will have holidays from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025, while schools in hot areas will be closed from January 1 to January 10, 2025.

On the other hand, according to a notification issued by the Punjab Education Department, it has been stated that holidays will be observed in all schools in Punjab from December 23 to January 10.
Similarly, the Sindh Education Department has announced winter holidays, according to which there will be holidays in educational institutions across the province from December 21 to 31. The decision will apply to all private and government institutions.
