The deceased and injured were transported to THQ Hospital Fateh Jang, according to the spokesperson.

Bus accidents are a frequent occurrence in Pakistan, often attributed to factors like driver negligence, road conditions, and weather.

Last month, an “over-speeding” bus carrying wedding guests veered off a bridge into the Indus River, claiming at least 14 lives in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The bus, part of a wedding procession, was traveling towards Punjab’s Chakwal district when it plunged into the river from Telchi bridge within the limits of Diamer district. Authorities confirmed that two individuals, including the bride, were rescued in the incident.
