Schools, colleges holiday announced in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore on Dec 16

RAWALPINDI: A holiday has been announced in schools and colleges of Lahore and Rawalpindi on Monday, December 16, 2024 (tomorrow).

According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Office, Rawalpindi, there will be a holiday in educational institutions across the district tomorrow.

According to the notification, all private and government educational institutions in Rawalpindi will remain closed on December 16, while examinations in educational institutions have also been postponed.

On the other hand, the DC Lahore has also issued a notification saying that all public and private schools and colleges in the city will remain closed on December 16, while all universities will remain open.

A notification has been issued regarding the holiday in government and private schools and colleges.

In the latest development, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has also issued the holiday notification for schools and colleges in the federal capital.

As per official notification issued by DC Irfan Nawaz Memon, all public and private schools/colleges will remain closed on December 16, 2024 (Monday).

In other news, the Sindh government has announced a 2-day holiday, and a notification has also been issued by the provincial government in this regard.

It states that a public holiday has been declared in all government offices on Wednesday, December 25, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, while a holiday has been declared on December 26 for Christian employees in connection with Christmas.
