ISLAMABAD : The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Sunday released 77,100 cusecs of water from various rim stations, with an inflow of 39,600 cusecs.
According to IRSA’s data, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam was recorded at 1,476.56 feet, which is 78.56 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet. The inflow and outflow at the dam were recorded at 18,000 cusecs and 36,000 cusecs, respectively.
The water level in the River Jhelum at Mangla Dam stood at 1,141.55 feet, which is 91.55 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water at Mangla Dam were 5,500 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs, respectively.
Water releases at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur were recorded at 44,700 cusecs, 41,500 cusecs, 34,000 cusecs, and 4,400 cusecs, respectively. Additionally, a total of 10,700 cusecs was released from the River Kabul at Nowshera, and 1,800 cusecs was released from the River Chenab at Marala.
