DIG Islamabad leads Khuli Kacheri in D-12, pledges immediate action on citizen issues

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, and SP Sadar Zone organized a Khuli Kacheri (open court) in the Sector D-12 area of the Golra police station.

A large number of citizens, including police officers, were present in the open court. DIG Islamabad listened to the citizens’ concerns and issued orders for their immediate resolution.

According to NNI news agency, Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Raza, along with SP President Zone Khan Zeb, organized the open court in collaboration with the Sector D-12 Security Committee in the Golra police station area.

Prominent social personalities from Sector D-12, including Muhammad Umar Rafi, Commodore (retd) Sabir, Col (retd) Ejaz, Naveed Ashraf, Sardar Saad, Amir Butt, Rana Shakeel, and Hasnat Ahmed, highlighted various issues and appreciated the initiative of the open court, calling for further measures.

On this occasion, the DIG assured that the check post in the area would be upgraded, with a police officer present around the clock to address the grievances of the citizens. He also commended the Sector D-12 community for their efforts towards the welfare and protection of the area.

The DIG further announced plans to launch a CPLC model in D-12 Islamabad, similar to the one in Karachi.

He stated that citizens can also lodge their complaints through the “IGP Complaint Cell” at 1715 to resolve their issues. Islamabad Police is committed to addressing citizens’ concerns through various initiatives.

The IG of Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has instructed all senior police officers to organize open courts across the district. In this regard, all zonal SPs are holding open courts in their respective zones. He added that any citizen of Islamabad can openly express their concerns during these open courts.

He emphasized that the purpose of this public outreach campaign by Islamabad Police is to resolve the citizens’ issues at their doorsteps.
