QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a Rs250 billion development package for Balochistan. This amount is one-fourth of Pakistan’s total development fund of Rs1,000 billion.
According to the details, while speaking at a grand jirga in Quetta, the Prime Minister said the funds must be spent with transparency. He urged Baloch leaders to point out problems that need fixing and called for efforts to bring back those who have gone astray.
“Terrorists are thirsty for blood. They do not want Pakistan to progress. These terrorists are agents of our enemies,” Shehbaz Sharif said.
He added that Pakistan responded to India’s five blasts with six of its own, calling it revenge for the 1971 war. “The whole nation stood like a rock with our armed forces. We gave India a defeat they will remember forever.”
On this occasion, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that a few elements are trying to stop development through terrorism. “These terrorists are spilling the blood of innocent people on India’s instructions,” he said.
