ISLAMABAD : In light of the current situation in Syria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated its Crisis Management Unit to assist Pakistani citizens residing there.
According to a statement from the Foreign Office spokesperson, measures have been implemented to facilitate Pakistani nationals in Syria. Families can contact the ministry through the provided phone numbers or email.
Diplomatic sources have confirmed that there are approximately 1,200 Pakistanis in Syria, all of whom are safe and remain in contact with the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus.

The spokesperson also stated that the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus is actively engaged in providing support to Pakistani nationals in Syria.

It is important to note that, following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad, many Pakistani nationals have been stranded in Syria.
