KARACHI – A Saudi Airlines flight from Karachi to Jeddah made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff on Thursday due to a technical issue.
According to sources, the pilot received an engine fire warning just minutes after takeoff. He immediately contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested permission for an emergency landing. ATC cleared runway 25L, and the aircraft landed safely. Over 200 passengers were on board and all remained unharmed.
A technical inspection team was called to examine the aircraft, and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) was informed about the incident.

In a separate incident, a Saudi Airlines flight from Cairo to London was forced to land back at Cairo International Airport after the cabin manager, Mohsen bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, suffered a fatal heart attack mid-flight.
The pilot coordinated with the control tower and landed the aircraft in Cairo, where a medical team confirmed the crew member’s death.
