LAHORE: The Anti-smog Unit of the Planning and Development Board Punjab, along with CTO Lahore and the Environment Department, has initiated an awareness drive aimed at educating the general public and transporters to combat smog.
As per private tv channel report, the campaign was launched under the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
In this regard, the main event took place on Multan Road at Chaubarji, where CTO Lahore Ammara Athar and DG Environment Imran Hamid participated. They informed citizens about precautionary measures to prevent smog and distributed awareness pamphlets to vehicle owners.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, CTO Lahore Ammara Athar emphasized that, given the threat of smog, everyone must play their part to address the issue permanently.
She advised that people should have their vehicles tuned and repaired regularly and take precautionary measures to eliminate vehicle fumes to prevent air pollution.
