ISLAMABAD: To facilitate smoother traffic flow, the federal government has announced plans to build two underpasses in the federal capital, Islamabad.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting on this matter, during which he was briefed that the preliminary designs for the underpasses have been prepared.
The interior minister instructed that the underpasses be completed as quickly as possible.
Location of New Underpasses in Islamabad:
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Stated that one underpass will be constructed at Serena Chowk and other on Srinagar Highway.
Traffic from various roads, including Constitution Avenue, Club Road (Murree Road), Srinagar Highway, and Attaturk Avenue, among others, converges at Serena Chowk intersection, causing congestion during peak hours.
The city managers will announce the alternate routes once construction on the underpasses begins.
