ISLAMABAD: The Naanbai Welfare Association withdrew the price petition from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) after fixing the new agreed prices of Naan and Roti.
Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court heard the petition related to the prices of Roti and Naan, during which the representative of the district administration and the government lawyer informed the High Court about this.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that discussions were held with the district administration on the court order. Justice Tariq Mehmood said on this that the new agreed prices are welcome; press conferences are being held against us that we are behind the prices of bread and bread.
The representative of the district administration said that in urban areas, the price of Roti has been fixed at 18 rupees and the price of naan at 22 rupees.
Later, the court dealt with the withdrawal of the application on behalf of the Naanbai Welfare Association, and the court also ordered the administration to open the cell tandoor along with the immediate release of the arrested persons of the Naanbai Welfare Association.
