PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has decided to prolong the Spring Holidays in schools and other educational institutions in observance of the Eid ul Fitr 2024 festivities.
This extension means that schools in Peshawar and other cities within KP will resume classes on April 15th (Monday).
The Elementary and Higher Education Department has issued notifications instructing all government and private schools to extend their Eid holidays accordingly.
Originally scheduled to conclude on April 8, the spring holidays began on April 1 but have been prolonged in preparation for the new academic year.
This extension is necessary as the government requires additional time to distribute free textbooks to students.

For offices operating on a five-day workweek, the holiday period is from April 10 to April 12 (Wednesday to Friday), while offices following a six-day work pattern will observe holidays from April 10 to 13 (Wednesday to Saturday).
