LAHORE: Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has announced that on June 6, 2024, plastic bags will be banned across the province following an order from the Chief Minister.
During the meeting chaired by Maryam Aurangzeb, it was directed to digitize the kiln industrial system to improve the air quality index, aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision.
Maryam Aurangzeb emphasized that according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, quality of life is the right of every individual, and there will be a crackdown against those who contribute to air pollution.
She emphasized that there will be no compromise with individuals who endanger human lives.
Additionally, students were instructed to establish Environment Climate Change Councils in educational institutions to foster environmental awareness and engagement, making them ambassadors for the environment.
