ISLAMABAD: The federal capital Islamabad has allocated a budget of Rs. 10 million for the establishment of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Hospital under the government’s Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2025-26.
According to the PSDP document issued, the estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 2999.990 million, with funds expected to be released amounting to Rs. 75 million by June 30, 2025.
Furthermore, a development budget of Rs. 10 million has been allocated for the IDSR project for the next fiscal year.
Additionally, in Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu, Rs. 108.240 million have been earmarked under the government’s PSDP for the establishment of a Community Health Center for the fiscal year 2025-26.
As per the PSDP document released, the estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 420.886 million, with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 312.650 million by June 30, 2025.

It is clarified that a development budget of Rs. 108.240 million has been allocated for the IDSR project for the next fiscal year.
It should be noted that the federal government has earmarked Rs. 14,343.500 million for completion of health sector projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2025–26.
According to the official budget document, the allocation was made with a strategic focus on improving healthcare infrastructure, disease surveillance, preventive medicine, maternal care, and emergency preparedness across the country.
An amount of Rs. 4,000 million has been allocated for the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre, Islamabad, while Rs. 1,000 million has been allocated for the Prime Minister’s national program to eliminate Hepatitis C.

The government has also allocated Rs. 2,000 million for the development of the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System (IDSRS).
Rs. 1,701 million has been set aside for the establishment of a cancer hospital in Islamabad.
Another Rs. 900 million has been allocated for the purchase of equipment for the cancer hospital, while Rs. 900 million has been allocated for the establishment of a stroke intervention unit and the expansion of critical care and cardiac facilities at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
