ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Market Committee has released the updated price list for vegetables, fruits, and other essential food items for today (01-02-2025), reflecting the most current market rates as of Saturday, 1 February 2025.

The list features common kitchen staples such as tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, and ginger, which are categorized into two quality grades—Grade 1 and Grade 2.

In recent weeks, prices for tomatoes, cabbage, and cauliflower have dropped significantly, providing welcomed relief for consumers. Furthermore, items like carrots, potatoes, and ginger are currently priced affordably, offering additional ease for households.

To promote transparency and ensure fair pricing, the price list is updated daily. Consumers are encouraged to check the official rates before making purchases to avoid being overcharged. Any instances of overpricing or inconsistencies should be reported to the relevant authorities for prompt resolution.

In other news, kinnow is now fully ripened and widely available in the market. Grade A kinnow is priced between PKR 335 and 360 per dozen. Some supermarkets and regions sell it by weight (kilogram), while others offer it by the dozen. Smaller-sized and lower-quality kinnows are priced more affordably, catering to various consumer needs.

Official price list for Fruits in Islamabad –ٖSaturday, 1 February , 2025:

The Islamabad Market Committee has announced the official price list for fruits, effective today, Saturday, 1 February 2025.

The updated list shows that most fruit prices have remained stable, with only slight variations observed in some cases—either a small increase or decrease. The list includes a variety of seasonal produce such as bananas, oranges, apples, guavas, grapes, and other fresh fruits currently available in the market.

Today’s Official Price List for Chicken and Eggs in Islamabad – Saturday, 1 February 2025:

The Islamabad Market Committee has officially released the new retail prices for live chicken (Zinda Murghi) and eggs, effective Saturday, 1 February 2025.

As per the updated rates, the price of live chicken (Zinda Murghi) has seen a slight increase today, rising by Rs. 5 per kilogram to Rs. 410, after a decrease yesterday from Rs. 425 to Rs. 405 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the price of eggs has remained stable at Rs. 221 per dozen today, following a drop from Rs. 240 to Rs. 221 a day ago.

These prices are applicable across the city to ensure fair pricing for all consumers.
