KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared public holidays on December 25 and 26.
As per report, the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department has issued a public holiday notification.
According to the notification, December 25 will be a public holiday in Sindh on the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan and Christmas Day. This holiday will apply to everyone in Sindh, while December 26 will be a public holiday exclusively for Christian employees in observance of Christmas.
The notification from the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department states that all government offices will remain closed on Wednesday, while semi-government offices and local councils will also observe the public holiday.

Furthermore, the notification emphasizes that all employees of government and semi-government offices are encouraged to observe the holidays as per their respective roles.
Educational institutions, including schools and universities, will remain closed on both days in view of the government holidays.
In other news, the Sindh government has appointed and transferred deputy commissioners of various districts.

According to a notification, DC East Shahzad Fazal Abbasi, DC Kemari Tahir Cheema, Sindh Solid Waste MD Imtiaz Shah, and the deputy commissioners of Jacobabad, Tando Allahyar, and Malir have been removed from their posts.
As per the notification, Local Government Secretary Khalid Haider Shah has been given the additional charge as MD of Sindh Solid Waste Management, while Secretary of Land Utilization Zameer Abbasi and Director of the Anti-Encroachment Force Tariq Chandio have also been removed from their posts.
