ISLAMABAD: The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 retake in Islamabad has been postponed due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest on November 24.
As per media report, the dates of December 8 and 15 are now under consideration for the MDCAT test; however, the final date of the test has not yet been determined.
Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University has informed the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) in this regard. The entrance test for the medical and dental college in Islamabad will now be held next month.
Earlier, SZAMBU announced the re-conduct of admission tests on November 24, following the Islamabad High Court (IHC) directive to retake the tests in Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
It is worth noting that in October, the Islamabad High Court set aside the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 results and ordered a retake.

In its order, the IHC maintained that the MDCAT paper was out syllabus, directing the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Medical Bhutto University to reconduct the same within a month.
According to the IHC, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) also declared the paper out of syllabus.

In which it was said that the applicants of Islamabad limits should take the MDCAT exam again, Shaheed Zulfiqar Bhutto University will conduct the MDCAT test again in a month.
