ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified Adil Bazai, a member of the National Assembly from the PML-N.
As per report, Election Commission has announced its decision on the reference for the disqualification of Adil Khan Bazai.
The ECP has declared the NA-262-1 seat vacant, stating that Adil Bazai did not vote on the 26th Amendment, violating party policy.
The decision states that, according to prevailing laws, all members are bound to follow the party’s guidelines.
Adil Bazai joined the PML-N after being elected as an independent candidate. An application was filed under Article 63A to declare Adil Khan Bazai’s seat vacant.

The reference for the disqualification of Adil Khan Bazai was sent to the Speaker by party President Nawaz Sharif, alleging that he violated the party’s instructions during the budget session.
It should be noted that Adil Bazai had risen from the government benches and sat on the opposition benches.
Adil Khan Bazai was elected as a member of the National Assembly from Constituency 262 of the National Assembly as an independent candidate.
On February 18, the PML-N, and on February 20, the Sunni Ittehad Council, submitted a certificate of party affiliation regarding Adil Bazai.
