ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to depart for Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, April 6th, to undertake Umrah.
Reliable sources indicated that during his stay in Jeddah, the prime minister is scheduled to hold a significant meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The details of the visit are expected to be finalized today (Friday), with several federal ministers and senior officials accompanying Shehbaz. His stay in Saudi Arabia is planned for two days. It’s noted that Shehbaz will extend an invitation to the crown prince to visit Pakistan during his discussions.
Simultaneously, Shehbaz will engage in crucial discussions with PMLN leader Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today (Friday).
This marks Prime Minister Shehbaz’s inaugural foreign visit since assuming office last month. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malikiy is en route to his country to welcome the prime minister of Pakistan.
