Consequently, all banks, microfinance banks, and other financial institutions will also observe Eid holidays during this period.

Earlier today, the federal government officially declared the Eid holidays. According to the notification from the Cabinet Division, offices operating five days a week will have three public holidays from April 10 to 12, while offices operating six days a week will have four public holidays from April 10 to 13.

“The prime minister has approved public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr,” stated the notification signed by Press Information Department (PID) Principal Information Officer Muhammad Aqib Gulzar.

The Meteorological Office forecasted that Eid ul Fitr’s first day would be on April 10, as the Shawwal moon was expected to be sighted on April 9.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) indicated that the crescent would appear on April 8 at 11:21 pm and would be visible for about 50 minutes around the time of Maghrib prayer on the following day.

Most parts of the country are expected to have clear skies on April 9, according to the PMD, although northern areas may experience some cloud cover.
