ISLAMABAD: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday, where they reaffirmed their dedication to bolstering bilateral relations, particularly in mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
The visit of the high-powered Saudi delegation, led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, aims to expedite the implementation of agreements made between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman during their recent meeting in Makkah Al Mukarramah, focusing on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude for the warm reception received by the Saudi delegation and emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its enduring fraternal, economic, and strategic ties with Saudi Arabia.
He also briefed the delegation on the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to encourage investment in Pakistan, highlighting the cooperation of various institutions, including Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir.
In return, the Saudi foreign minister conveyed his appreciation for the hospitality extended to his delegation and emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening its strategic and economic partnership with Pakistan. The discussions also touched upon the escalating situation in the occupied Palestinian Territories.
