ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has opted to allocate a 10-acre plot within Zone IV of the federal capital for the Danish Schools System.
Under the chairmanship of Captain (r) Anwarul Haq, the CDA board convened a special meeting where a summary received from the Ministry of Federal Education was ratified.
During this meeting, the case was presented by the CDA Member Planning and Design and subsequently approved. Once operational, the Danish School will cater to children from rural areas of Islamabad.
Simultaneously, the CDA’s engineering division is presently engaged in constructing new footpaths in sector I-8 of Islamabad. This maintenance work, contracted out, is estimated to incur a cost of Rs14 million.
The inception of the Danish Schools System was spearheaded by the former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aimed at providing quality education to children in underdeveloped and remote regions.
