HYDERABAD: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has said that it is unfortunate that his political allies are afraid of the upcoming general elections and want to run away from them.
Addressing a rally in Hyderabad, Bhutto Zardari said that people used to say that a woman cannot rule in Muslim countries, but the people of Pakistan proved them wrong by electing Benazir Bhutto as prime minister not once but twice.
He said that Benazir Bhutto was a champion of the people, workers, farmers, and poor women, and she was also the hope for the future of Pakistan.
Bhutto Zardari also spoke about the no-confidence motion against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, which was successful because of the support of the people of Hyderabad.
He said that the PPP has a history of delivering on its promises, and he is confident that the party will win the next elections.
Bhutto Zardari urged his supporters to participate in the elections and not give their mandate to anti-national and incompetent people.
He said that the PPP is not afraid of elections, and he challenged his allies to come forward and face the people.
