ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar met with US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Bloom.
In the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s House, the American Ambassador congratulated Anwarul Haq Kakar on assuming the post of Prime Minister, while on this occasion, the American Ambassador reiterated his desire to support Pakistan’s economic and development agenda.
In the meeting with the American ambassador, the caretaker prime minister expressed satisfaction over the current positive momentum of bilateral relations and said that Pakistan and the United States have long-standing and broad-based relations, the relations are rooted in mutual respect, common interests and common values.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the primary responsibility of the caretaker government is to help the Election Commission in the election process, the caretaker government’s responsibility is to provide constitutional continuity in the period of democratic transition.
The Caretaker Prime Minister appreciated the role of the US in helping Pakistan’s economic stability and reiterated its determination to continue the reform agenda to achieve sustainable development
