Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have yet to be approached for the re-recording of their joint track “End Game,” which originally appeared on Taylor Swift’s 2017 album “Reputation.”
Recently, Ed Sheeran addressed this matter while making an appearance on Sirius XM’s “Deep & Shallow Podcast” hosted by Andy Cohen. During the podcast, Cohen inquired about whether Swift and Sheeran had collaborated on a new rendition of “End Game” for her upcoming re-recorded albums.
Sheeran’s response was straightforward and concise, as he stated, “No, I haven’t. No. No.” This indicates that the process of re-recording their collaborative song has not yet been initiated.
Nonetheless, Sheeran did provide some insights into Taylor Swift’s ongoing projects. He mentioned that fans can anticipate the re-recorded version of Swift’s album “1989” as her next release.
In addition, Ed Sheeran recently shared his perspectives on the distinctiveness of artists’ live performances and the logistical challenges they face. This was in the context of discussing Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour. He commented, “I believe what’s truly special about each artist’s performance is how unique and personal it is to them. Everyone’s show is different, and that’s a positive aspect.”
The conflicting schedules of both artists have posed a hindrance for Ed Sheeran to attend Taylor Swift’s live show. He further explained, “While I would be thrilled to witness Taylor’s performance, our shows happen to coincide on the same weekends consistently. I’m hopeful that there might be an opportunity next year when she’s touring in the U.K.”
