ISLAMABAD: Jemima Goldsmith, the former spouse of ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, has exposed a fraudulent X account created in her son’s name to endorse the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) election campaign.
Jemima, who was wedded to the PTI founder about two decades ago, urged her X followers to report the deceptive account, stating, “Fake account. Please report.”

The spurious account operates under the identity of Jemima’s younger son, Kassim Khan. The account falsely asserted, “Hi everyone, General Elections will be held in Pakistan soon, so in these difficult circumstances, it is our right to convey Imran Khan’s message to everyone and take full advantage of social media, so now I will use Twitter actively, need your support. #ImranKhanIsOurLeader.”
This is not the first instance where she has exposed fake accounts exploiting the identities of Jemima and Khan’s sons, Suleman Khan and Kassim Khan.
Jemima clarified that her sons are not on X or any other social media platform, or at least not under their real names. Many offspring of prominent Pakistani politicians abstain from social media to evade online harassment, particularly on X.
Jemima also conveyed her disappointment at being associated with an alleged “Operation Goldsmith” orchestrated by X users in Pakistan.
Wait, I’m confused, so “Operation Goldsmith” is to keep Imran OUT of power? 🙄🙄🙄 pic.twitter.com/6nYL4asL7w

Recently, the hashtag trended in Pakistan and internationally, making baseless accusations against the Goldsmith family. Sources close to Jemima dismissed the claims as absurd, asserting that the Goldsmith family has no involvement in Pakistani politics.
Although vocal about the Palestine-Israel issue, Jemima has distanced herself completely from Pakistani politics. In a recent interview with a private TV channel, she emphasized her desire to keep politics out of her life, avoiding discussions and participation in political matters to steer clear of political disputes.
She stated, “I need politics out of my life” and deliberately stays aloof from political matters to steer clear of controversies associated with politics.
