ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday .

With only three days remaining until the expiration of Pakistan’s agreement with the IMF, this marks the fourth contact between the Prime Minister and the Managing Director in recent days.

During their meeting this morning, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to collaboratively improve the country’s economic situation. In the discussion with the Managing Director of the IMF, the Prime Minister expressed that a decision on the coordination of the IMF program’s key points will likely be reached in a couple of days.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of the IMF commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s determined leadership and expressed the desire to enhance Pakistan’s economic situation.

It is important to note that the agreement between Pakistan and the IMF is set to expire on June 30.
