ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has issued a statement regarding the revenue collected so far in June.
In a statement on Twitter, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that for the first time, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected 7 thousand billion rupees in revenue till June 26.
The Finance Minister said that there will be further increase in FBR revenue till June 30.
Increase in the limit of tax collections in the next financial year’s budget
It should be noted that the National Assembly has approved a budget of 14 thousand 480 for the next financial year.
A number of amendments have also been made by the government, the petroleum development levy limit has been increased from Rs 50 to Rs 60 per litre, after which another condition of the IMF agreement has been fulfilled.
In the budget, the target of tax collection has been increased from 9 thousand 200 to 9 thousand 415 billion rupees, pension payment has been increased from 761 billion to 801 billion.
Under the further amendment of the Finance Bill, new taxes of 215 billion have been imposed, the amount of Benazir Income Support Program has been increased to 466 billion rupees instead of 459 billion rupees.
