ISLAMABAD: Careem has provided the facility for customers to book rides in advance through its app’s ‘Later Booking’ feature in Pakistan.
As per private news agency report, Under this feature, users can book their ride at least two hours in advance, ensuring they have a ride ready in case of any connectivity issues.
Report Says, this feature will be a preferred choice, especially for students, office-goers, as well as airport and private event attendees.
To schedule a ride in advance, open the Careem app, select the type of ride you want, tap the “NOW” drop-down menu, and select your preferred time.
A number of checks have been put in place to make the system smooth and easy, and to ensure punctuality. These include communication with the assigned captain, a 15-minute waiting period after the captain’s arrival, and the provision of comfortable vehicles with experienced captains.
Commenting on the ‘Later Booking’ feature, Careem Pakistan General Manager Ride-Hailing Imran Salim said, “Mobility is an integral part of our society, where customers depend on us for freedom of movement.
We understand the unique challenges of our market and are always active in introducing new features to make people’s lives easier and better.” Careem also offers a ‘Premium 5 and 10’ service similar to the ‘Later Booking’ feature, where users can book rides for a full-day duration of 5 or 10 hours.
Especially beneficial for occasions like weddings or out-of-town trips, where users may need continuous transportation for extended periods.
