The mega event is set to commence on October 5 with a momentous match between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, a rematch of the 2019 50-over World Cup final.

Pakistan’s journey in the tournament will begin with two matches against qualifying teams. They will face Qualifier 1 in Hyderabad on October 6, followed by the hosts India taking on five-time World Cup champions Australia in Chennai on October 8.

A total of 10 teams will participate in this showcase event, with the first eight teams having already qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The remaining two spots will be determined at the conclusion of the ongoing Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe, with the event set to end on July 9.

The format of the World Cup will follow a round-robin structure, where each team will play against the other nine teams. The top four teams from the league stage will qualify for the knockout stage and semifinals.
