RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday that two soldiers valiantly laid down their lives during a shootout with terrorists at a security forces post in Singwan, a region bordering Iran in the district of Kech, Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, a group of terrorists launched an attack on the security forces’ post, but their assault was repelled by the alert and well-prepared deployed troops. A fierce exchange of gunfire ensued, with the soldiers courageously utilizing all available weaponry.

“Amidst the intense firefight, two brave soldiers, identified as Sepoy Hasnain Ishtiaq, 34, and Sepoy Inayat Ullah, 27, embraced martyrdom while fearlessly fighting against the terrorists,” read the official statement.

Providing additional information about the fallen soldiers, the ISPR revealed that Sepoy Ishtiaq hailed from Dera Ghazi Khan district, while Sepoy Inayat was a resident of Jhal Magsi district.

In response to the attack, an immediate sanitization operation was launched in the area, and contact was established with Iranian authorities to ensure the terrorists had no chance to escape.

“Security Forces, in complete alignment with the nation, remain resolute in their determination to thwart any attempts aimed at sabotaging peace and stability along the Balochistan borders,” stated the ISPR.

In a separate operation conducted a day earlier, security forces successfully eliminated two terrorists in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The ISPR disclosed that the security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Dossali area, acting on credible information regarding the presence of terrorists.

“During the operation, an intense exchange of fire occurred between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists,” stated the ISPR. Additionally, a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants.

The military’s media wing further revealed that the terrorists had been actively involved in anti-security forces activities and the senseless killing of innocent citizens.

Sanitization efforts are currently underway in the area to eradicate any remaining presence of terrorists.

The ISPR also highlighted the local community’s appreciation for the operation, as they expressed full support in the collective endeavor to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
