LAHORE: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 15% discount on tickets for flights between Lahore and Paris.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the discount applies immediately and is valid for bookings made until June 9, 2025. Passengers can travel on discounted tickets between June 18 and July 2.
The first PIA flight from Lahore to Paris will depart on June 18. After nearly four and a half years, this marks the expansion of PIA’s European operations, which resumed earlier this year after the European Union lifted its ban.

It should be noted that PIA resumed its flights to Europe in January 2025, with the first flight from Islamabad to Paris taking off on January 10.
The national airline has announced that a weekly flight from Lahore to Paris will depart every Wednesday. Currently, PIA operates two weekly flights from Islamabad to Paris and plans to expand to other European cities as well.
The ban on PIA flights was imposed in June 2020 by the European Union and the United States after a deadly plane crash in Karachi killed nearly 100 people.
On November 29 last year, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) officially lifted the ban on PIA flights. However, the airline has yet to receive permission to operate direct flights to the US and the UK.
