ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Youth Program will distribute 100,000 laptops this month to deserving students on merit, announced Program Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan on Wednesday.
He said the initiative aims to empower the youth through access to digital tools. He also shared that a National Youth and Adolescent Policy, developed after wide consultations, will be launched soon. It focuses on the “Four Es”: education, employment, environment, and engagement.
Rana Mashhood highlighted the success of the PM Youth Digital Hub, which now has over 500,000 registered youth and 10,000+ local and international companies. The portal provides scholarships, job listings, and training programs.
To support overseas employment, the program is offering skills training and loans of up to Rs 1 million under the PM Youth Loan Scheme. The Laptop for All Scheme is also expanding to allow installment-based purchases via banks.

In sports, more than 10,000 youth joined cricket trials in Balochistan under the PM Talent Hunt Scheme. Selected players will receive training at academies and may represent Pakistan.
A 110-member National Youth Council has also been formed to advise the PM. Other efforts include startup loans, innovation awards, and the upcoming Pitch Pakistan Program, launching next week to support young innovators.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said the program is committed to building a skilled, creative, and self-reliant youth through modern incubation centers and funding support.
