LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited Jamil Town in Sabzazar and launched a new program to provide insulin to children suffering from diabetes.
CM Maryam Nawaz visited the home of 12-year-old Zainab Shehzadi and 14-year-old Zain Shehzad, who are both diabetic. She personally ensured that they were given insulin.
Later, she also visited the house of 5-year-old Wasi Adnan, another child with diabetes, and supervised his insulin injection as well.
All three children are suffering from diabetes. CM Maryam Nawaz said the Punjab government is committed to providing free treatment and support to children with diabetes.

Meanwhile, CM Maryam Nawaz also launched her vision to make Punjab a polio-free province. The first day of the new polio campaign was held today. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Syed Musa Raza gave polio drops to children to formally start the drive.
DC Musa Raza said that it is important to ensure that every child under the age of five receives polio drops. He urged the public to fully cooperate with polio teams so that no child is left out.
He also directed the polio field staff to work hard and make the campaign successful. The district administration is actively supporting the campaign, and a new modern strategy has been adopted to eliminate polio from Punjab.
