ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Islamabad to sight the moon of Zilhaj. The meeting will be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Zonal and Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committees across Pakistan will also meet today (29th Ziqad 1446 Hijri) to collect moon sighting evidence.
If the moon is sighted today, Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on Friday, June 6. If the moon is not sighted, then Eid will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Experts have said that there are very low chances of moon sighting on May 27 in Pakistan. It is likely that Eid ul Azha will be observed on June 7.
