PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has announced that Malakand Division will be split into two separate administrative divisions to improve governance and public services.
The announcement was made during a meeting in Peshawar to discuss the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for Malakand Division. The meeting was attended by Members of National and Provincial Assemblies from the region and government officials.
CM Gandapur said Malakand is a large, mountainous area, and splitting it into two divisions will make administration easier and services more accessible. “Smaller divisions will help deliver better services and improve governance,” he said. He asked the elected representatives to work together and finalize the details for creating the new divisions.
