ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has temporarily closed its three major airports in Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot, according to the Pakistan Airport Authority.
As per the details, flight operations at these airports have been suspended due to operational reasons, and the airspace in these cities has been restricted. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for the latest updates.
Flights to and from Islamabad Airport will now require prior approval from air traffic control. Flights heading to Lahore have been diverted to Islamabad.
For example, a Pakistan International Airlines flight from Muscat to Lahore and a private airline flight from Riyadh to Lahore were redirected to Islamabad.
Three Suspected Indian Drones Destroyed in Pakistan;
In other news, three suspected Indian spy drones were destroyed in different parts of Pakistan, including Lahore, Gujranwala, and Chakwal. In Lahore, a drone near Walton Road by the airport was brought down using advanced technology. Authorities believe it was being used to monitor sensitive locations.

In Gujranwala, drone debris was found in a field in Peer Jhand village. Police have taken the debris and are investigating its origin. In Chakwal, another drone crashed in a field and was destroyed.
Pakistan Air Force experts are examining the wreckage, and the area has been sealed off by law enforcement. No casualties were reported in this incident.
Drone Crash in Daharki Causes Casualty
A tragic incident occurred in Daharki, Sindh, where a suspected spy drone crashed in a field and exploded at 4 a.m. Two farmers were injured in the blast.
One of them, Mukhtiar Ahmed, passed away, while his son, Aidan, was seriously injured. The incident took place in Sarfaraz Laghari, near the Indian border. SSP Ghotki, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, confirmed the incident.
Tensions between Pakistan and India remain high following recent cross-border incidents on May 6-7. Pakistani security forces are on high alert across the country.
