LAHORE: The Punjab government will provide 10,000 e-bikes to students across the province for free.
According to the details, the decision was made in a meeting of the Punjab Zakat and Ushr Council, led by Special Assistant to Chief Minister Iqbal Nasrullah. Attendees included Senator Dr. Ghaus Muhammad Khan Niazi, MPA Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, Parliamentary Secretary Zubair Ahmed, and others.
Eligibility for E-Bikes in Punjab:
The e-bikes will be given to students who qualify for Zakat and are registered with the Zakat and Ushr Council. More details will be shared when available.
E-bikes Distribution Plan;
The first phase will distribute 2,000 e-bikes, but no specific date has been announced. Nasrullah said the program follows Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s instructions, who has also introduced laptop schemes, scholarships, and bikes on installment for students.

Laptop Scheme Update;
The Punjab government has set a deadline for applications for the 2025 CM Laptop Scheme. The program, launched by CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to support education and digital access for students. The laptops have Core i7 processors, 13th Generation, and SSD for fast performance.
Students in BS (1st or 2nd semester) at public sector HED colleges, public universities, or public medical and dental colleges (1st professional, 2024 session) can apply.
Applicants must have a Punjab domicile. BS students need 65% marks in intermediate, while medical and dental students need 80%. Students at private universities are not eligible. Apply before the deadline for the laptop scheme.
