QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for local body elections in Quetta.
According to the ECP’s announcement, the municipal elections in Quetta will be held on November 30, 2023. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from November 7 to 9, and the hearing of appeals on nomination papers will occur on November 11. The decisions of the appellate authority on appeals will be made on November 14, which is the final day.
The announcement further stated that the revised list of candidates will be released on November 15, and nomination papers can be withdrawn until November 16. Election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on November 17.
It’s worth noting that local body elections have already taken place in 35 other districts of Balochistan.
