SUPARCO officials said the time between sunset and moonset in Pakistan’s coastal areas is expected to be about 75 minutes, which provides favorable conditions for moon visibility.

Based on astronomical analysis and clear weather, the chances of sighting the new moon on the evening of June 26 are high. Therefore, the first of Muharram 1447 Hijri is expected to fall on Friday, June 27, 2025.
