KARACHI: The largest cattle market in Asia was inaugurated in Karachi ahead of Eid ul Adha 2025. Mayor Murtaza Wahab spoke at the opening ceremony, thanking the organizers for the invitation.
According to the details, he said the market brings a lot of activity to the city, with millions of animals brought for sale.
Mayor Wahab stated that Karachi’s progress is key to Pakistan’s growth. People visit the market to buy animals for Eid-ul-Adha sacrifices, and he prayed for the acceptance of these offerings.
He mentioned that the main cattle market is set up every year, and the KMC Veterinary Department has been made active. The administration will fulfill its responsibilities for the market.

Traders from across the country bring their animals to sell here, and special security arrangements will be made.
Mayor Wahab added that under Bilawal Bhutto’s leadership, efforts to improve Karachi will continue. KMC and the Commissioner of Karachi will jointly set up some markets in the city.
He also shared that he will visit the main cattle market in a few days to buy animals for sacrifice, as his family participates in collective sacrifices. No permission will be given for setting up markets at the local level.
In an other development, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui held a press conference at Governor House. They announced that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Governor Initiatives and a US company, “Cyber Range Solution.”

According to the details, Under this agreement, talented students from Sindh will receive modern IT training and job opportunities in the US and other countries with good salaries.
The US company will provide a six-month free training course to selected students. Successful students will then get job opportunities abroad.
The program is expected to create over 40,000 jobs with annual salaries ranging from $90,000 to $130,000. The company will also cover the initial educational expenses of the students.
