ISLAMABAD: A hostel for working women will be built in Islamabad on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to a private TV channel report, the hostel will be constructed in Sector I-9 of the federal capital. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board has approved the plan to convert the Special Education Center in I-9/4 into a working women’s hostel.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Rights had requested the construction of this hostel. The Prime Minister directed the CDA to build the hostel to help solve the housing problems faced by working women. The CDA has sent a notification to the Ministry of Education regarding the approval.

Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, said that the hostel will reduce housing issues for working women, as there is a great need for such a facility.
In other news, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone for Danesh University, which will be built at a cost of 190 million pounds (60 billion rupees).
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister thanked Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa for transferring the 190 million pounds to the national treasury.
He said students from all four provinces will be able to study at Danesh University. Admissions will be based only on merit, and free education will be provided to poor boys and girls.
The Prime Minister added that the university will gain recognition worldwide for its quality education, teachers, and research center. The first section of the university is expected to be functional by August 14, 2026.
