ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to build an Adventure City Park in Islamabad to attract more tourists to the capital.
The announcement was made during a meeting at CDA Headquarters, led by Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Member Environment, and other senior officials also attended, they discussed creating the park at a suitable location, aiming to make it one of Islamabad’s main tourist spots.
The CDA shared that promoting tourism in the capital is a key goal. The Adventure City Park will include walkways, cycling tracks, eco-friendly landscaping, and various recreational facilities, combining sustainability with modern leisure options.
Randhawa said the park will follow international tourism and recreational standards. It will offer a variety of food outlets, cultural and social services, and tourist-friendly facilities all in one place.

To support environmental sustainability, Randhawa instructed that a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) be included in the project. The CDA will also use financially and operationally practical models to ensure the project’s success.
In closing, Randhawa expressed CDA’s commitment to improving Islamabad’s natural beauty, recreational offerings, and global reputation, aiming to make it a tourism-friendly capital.
On the other hand, on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the federal government has decided to construct a hostel for working women in Islamabad.
A private TV channel reported that the hostel will be built in Sector I-9 of the federal capital. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board has approved converting the Special Education Center in I-9/4 into a working women’s hostel.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Rights had requested the hostel’s construction. The Prime Minister directed the CDA to address housing challenges faced by working women. The CDA has notified the Ministry of Education of the approval.
