It should be noted that earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had postponed the annual matric and intermediate exams due to Ramadan. The provincial government instructed all educational boards to delay the matric exams and hold them in April after Ramadan.

A spokesperson from the Peshawar Education Board said that the exams would take place after Ramadan, and the purpose of postponing them was to provide convenience to students during the month. The annual matric exams in the province were originally scheduled for March 5, but after the delay, they will now start on April 8.
