KARACHI: The Sindh government has asked the newly appointed chairmen of all eight education boards to take charge of their positions immediately. These chairmen were selected by a search committee.
According to a private newspaper report, the Sindh High Court rejected a petition against the appointment of the new chairmen. After this decision, the Boards and Universities Department told the new chairmen to take charge so that the current chairmen could not get further court orders to stop them.
It should be noted that retired bureaucrat Muhammad Musbah Tanveer has been recommended as the chairman of the Board of Intermediate Karachi. Similarly, Ghulam Hussain Saho, the brother of a provincial secretary, has been recommended as the chairman of the Matric Board Karachi.
District Education Officer Central Musharraf Ali Rajput has been recommended as the chairman of the Sindh Board of Technical Education.

For the Hyderabad Education Board, retired Sindh University professor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Chandio has been recommended.
For the Nawabshah Education Board, Professor Dr. Asif Ali Memon from Quaid-e-Awam Engineering University has been recommended.
For the Mirpurkhas Education Board, retired provincial additional secretary Mansoor Rajput has been recommended.
For the Sukkur Education Board, Professor Zahid Hussain Channar from Sindh Madrasa has been recommended. For the Larkana Board, Higher Education Commission Director Khalid Hussain Mehr has been recommended.
