The app is already known to about 700,000 people in Pakistan. Also, 1,000 lawyers have signed up, and more are being checked to join.
Ambassador Grannas said the app is becoming popular fast. He explained that Wakeel Online has grown from an idea into a working platform that gives real legal help to people. The app is easy to use and helps people get legal advice without high costs.
It should be noted that the Islamabad district administration earlier launched a mobile app called “City Islamabad.” It helps people check their arms licenses easily.
A spokesman from the ICT administration said the app was created to make it simpler for citizens to verify their arms licenses. Users can sign up, enter their ID card number and license number, and use the app to check if their license is real, he explained.
This step is meant to make the verification process quicker and more convenient. People no longer need to visit government offices, which saves them time and effort.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon spoke at the event. He asked Islamabad residents to use the app to check their arms licenses. He also said that anyone with illegal arms or fake licenses would face strict action.
