Govt announces office timings after Ramadan, Eid 2025 – check schedule

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced the restoration of regular office timings for government offices following the conclusion of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays in 2025.

As per the official notification issued by govt, the decision, effective immediately, was outlined in an official notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division, on April 3, 2025.

It specifies separate schedules for offices operating on a 5-day workweek and those on a 6-day workweek. Additionally, a designated break for lunch and prayers has been included in the daily schedule.

An official notice has been issued about the working hours. It says that offices working 5 days a week will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

For offices working 6 days a week, the notice states they will be open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. According to the notice, there will be a break for lunch and prayers from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

Govt Offices Working on 5 Days a Week after eid: 

Days Timing
Monday to Friday 08:30 am to 04:30 pm
Lunch / Prayer Break 01:00 pm to 01:30 pm (Prayer/Lunch Break: 01:00 pm to 01:30 pm)

After Eidul Fitr 2025 Govt Offices Working on 6 Days a Week: 

Days Timing
Monday to Saturday 08:30 am to 03:30 pm
Lunch / Prayer Break 01:00 pm to 01:30 pm (Prayer/Lunch Break: 01:00 pm to 01:30 pm)

The notification was signed by Yawar Hussain Rana, Section Officer to the Government of Pakistan, and has been forwarded to several key authorities, including the President’s Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, and the Auditor General of Pakistan, among others, for implementation.
