ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given the green light to Mohammad Amir, fast bowler and former pacer, for his return to international cricket.
The selection committee has contacted Amir’s manager, encouraging him to prepare for the national comeback.
According to reports, arrangements have been made to bring Amir back to the team. However, the PCB has advised him to avoid making unnecessary statements in the media that could spark controversy and instead focus on his cricket.

Amir retired from international cricket in 2020, but the PCB hopes he will reconsider his decision soon and stay fit and in practice until then. An official commented that Amir is a talented bowler, and Pakistan needs him. He added that Amir has been instructed to follow the team’s directives and expressed hope that he would soon play for Pakistan.

The possibility of Amir’s return has been a topic of discussion since Najam Sethi became PCB Chairman last year. Sethi previously stated that Amir could play for Pakistan in international cricket if he withdrew his retirement.
