The fifth and final T20 International (T20I) match between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Sky Stadium in Wellington. New Zealand have already won the five-match series with a 3-1 lead, making this last game a chance for them to finish the tour on a high note.

The series began on March 16 in Christchurch, where New Zealand started strong with a nine-wicket victory after bowling Pakistan out for just 91 runs. They continued their dominance in the second match in Dunedin on March 18, winning by five wickets in a rain-shortened game. Pakistan fought back in the third T20I in Auckland on March 21, thanks to a stunning century by young batter Hasan Nawaz, beating New Zealand by nine wickets. However, New Zealand sealed the series in the fourth match on March 23 at Mount Maunganui, routing Pakistan for 105 runs and winning by 115 runs.

This tour follows a tough time for Pakistan, who had an early exit from the Champions Trophy earlier in 2025. Led by new captain Salman Ali Agha, the team has been trying out younger players after leaving out big names like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. New Zealand, captained by Michael Bracewell in this series, have been in good form, even without some of their star players who are busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Wednesday’s match starts at 7:15 PM local time (6:15 AM GMT). While the series is decided, both teams will look to end the T20 leg of Pakistan’s tour on a positive note before moving on to a three-match ODI series starting March 29 in Napier. Fans can expect an exciting game as Pakistan aim to regain some pride, and New Zealand hope to celebrate a strong finish at home.
